Sheet 01Why we are building it
The job got harder. The tools didn't.
Running residential blocks in the UK means phone calls, email chains, WhatsApp messages and spreadsheets — usually all at once, and usually about the same building. After the Grenfell Tower fire the regulatory picture became more demanding: fire risk assessments, fire doors, the Building Safety Act and the evidence that goes with them. The tools most teams use didn't keep up.
We think the work splits into two kinds. There is the judgement — whether a quote is fair, whether a finding is serious, what to tell a worried leaseholder — and there is the chasing: the reminder, the follow-up call, the statement line to tick off, the email to file. WiseBlock is built to give the second kind to software, and to make the first kind easier by putting everything about a building on one page.
That means one record per building that the property manager, the fire safety lead, the inspector, the accountant and the resident all work from — each seeing the part their role needs.
Sheet 02AI and people
Agents act. People decide.
We don't build chatbots for the sake of it. Each agent has one job, and the points where a person has to decide are written into the product.

Drafts, not decisions
The Maintenance Surveyor reads photographs of a fault and drafts the job. It arrives in an editable form; nothing the model says is saved unchecked.

Exceptions go to a person
When the Bank Specialist can't be sure which ledger entry a payment belongs to, it marks the line for review instead of guessing.

Limits the software enforces
Awarding work over a building's approval threshold is refused until somebody with the authority approves it — tested against the whole job, not one quote.
